Cup
Series Fantasy Racing League
Concept – Teams select a different driver for each of the 36 regularly scheduled
races and Can-Am 125s. Teams earn points equal to the championship points
earned by the driver selected. Teams
can use any particular driver only once.
The team with the highest total score at the end of the season wins.
Read below for additional rules and prizes.
Teams -
Create your team(s) through the link on the front page of the site. You will
need to create a team name* and password.
You will also need to provide your name and email address where you can
be contacted by the administrators if necessary.
* Team names and passwords must be alpha-numeric. Do
not include special characters. (e.g. !, @, #, $, &., +, etc.). Upon
successful creation of your team, you will receive a confirmation email with a
numeric code that you will need to use the first time you log in in order to
validate your team during your first login.
A fifty 'point' per team season entry fee is required. You
are allowed to participate for two races without the entry fee having been
received. Your team will be deactivated and deleted if the fee is not received
earlier than two days prior to the start of the third race.
Driver Selection - After you have logged into
the site, navigate to the clubhouse by selecting the link. Prior to the specified roster lock time for
each race, select a driver from the list of available drivers. You earn the
same 'Championship' points your driver earns for that race. Driver selections
are made from drivers available in the drop down list only. If there is a
driver you want to use that is not included in the list, and you have not
already selected that driver, then contact one of the administrators. They will
add it to the list. To select a driver, first select the race you want to
select for. Next, select your driver from the dropdown. Then, push the 'MAKE
SELECTION' button. As you select drivers, they will automatically be removed
from the list of available drivers. To reinstate a driver you have selected for
a race that has not yet been run, select the race, and select the blank at the
top of the list, or another driver, then push the 'MAKE SELECTION' button. The
driver will be returned to your list. You can make advance selections for as
many races as you want and change the selection at any time prior to rosters
being locked for that race. It is recommended that you make provisional picks
in case you are unable to later.
For your convenience and as a confirmation of a valid
selection, a message will be displayed indicating whether or not you have made
a selection for the next race. The messages are "Your
Pick: YOU DO NOT HAVE A PICK FOR THIS RACE YET!!!". Or, if you
have made a pick, "Your Pick: <driver name>". Red indicates
you do not have a selection. Green indicates you have made a
selection. Verify that your selections have been logged by reviewing your
selections at the bottom of your clubhouse page or in the recent transaction
pane.
With the exception of the Can-Am
races and the 'All Star' race, using a driver prevents him from being selected
again. The Can-Am races and the 'All Star' race have their own pool of drivers
that do not affect your regular season pool of drivers.
Your five most recent transactions
are displayed in a pane adjacent to the driver selection area of your clubhouse
page.
Note: Picking a
driver that is not in the race will result in zero points being earned. With
the exception of the Can-Am races and the 'All Star' race, a race with zero
points earned disqualifies your team from the last place prizes.
Note: If there
is no record of you making a selection for a race, you receive zero points.
Ensure your selection has been acknowledged by the website. It is strongly
suggested that you at least make a preliminary or provisional selection well in
advance of the race. Selection changes are allowed at any time prior to roster
lock time. Your login and transaction histories will be used by the
administrators as the sole factors regarding claims of driver selection or time
of selection. The ruling of the administrators is final in these matters.
Important: Starting
in 2017, each of the twin 125 Can-Am qualifier races for the Daytona 500 are
point earning races with drivers earning up to 10 Championship points.
Not making a selection for the Can-Am 125s does not disqualify your team from the
last place and last place runner up prizes (see 'Rewards' section).
But may start you off in a better spot than if you did not participate. The Can-Am races driver selection list is
separate from the regular season list.
Can-Am driver selections do not count as against the regular season
drivers.
Lowe's All Star Race - The results
of the non-point All-Star race are used to break end of season ties for
position. The All Star race has its own list of drivers and does not affect
your regular season driver selections. The All Star race selection pane is
located at the top of the clubhouse page. Selecting for this race is not
mandatory. However, it is in your interest to make a selection.
Roster lock times - Roster
lock times are provided in the race schedule section at the bottom of your
clubhouse page. Generally, we try to lock rosters within 5 to 15 minutes of the
scheduled green flag time. Once rosters lock you will be restricted from making
changes to your selection for that race. After rosters lock, you are able to
review and/or printout the list of teams and driver selections. Note that in
the case of rain delays or postponements, the original roster lock times will
be used.
Your earned points - At the end
of each race your team earns Championship points equal to the Monster Energy
NASCAR Cup Series (MENSC) Championship points awarded by
NASCAR to the driver you selected. Playoff points are not included.
The authoritative source for points earned will be Nascar.com. Exception #1: Due
to a potential for a reduced number of point earning drivers, non-point earning
drivers will earn points based on the points which would have been earned for a
registered Cup driver appropriate for their finish position only. No segment
points earned will be awarded. Exception #2: No adjustments
for post-race penalties, post-entry penalties, etc. will be made. Points are
based strictly on points awarded at the finish.
Leaderboard - The points
earned for each by your team are displayed on your clubhouse page. The total
score is displayed the leaderboard along with your ranking and relative
progression or demotion in rank from the previous week.
You are able to navigate to other
team's clubhouses. However, you will only able to see drivers selected for races
for which rosters have locked.
Chat page - A chat
page is provided where you can talk smack and communicate with other members.
This is not a bulletin board or a blog. Old entries are over written. The page
is provided for fun. Keep it clean! Abusers will have their right to post
revoked. Repeat abusers will have their teams inactivated.
Posting of race results - Race
results are posted as soon as is practical. Night races, or if the finish
positions are in question, may be posted the next morning. NASCAR.com is slow to post results. This affects our
ability to post results.
Rewards - All
entry 'points' received are distributed as rewards at the end of the season.
Teams with the highest total scores at the end of the season earn rewards.
Reward values will vary from season to season based up on number of factors
such as number of teams and special prizes. Refer to the point distribution
section inside the site during the season. Values are determined by the
administrators.

Last place runner-up - Must have no zero scores and must have selected the mandatory 18 drivers identified by the admins – Pts determined by number of participants.
*Best total score accumulated during
the playoffs. – 50 Pts
*Special Playoff Prize - The
team with the best total score for the final ten races. Teams that have missed races,
sandbagged, or have dropped below where they may consider themselves
competitive for the top 10 have an opportunity to earn points here.
Tie breakers - In the
event of end of a year end tie for position, the team with the higher All Star
race finishing position. In the event of a tie at this level, the winner will
be the team with the most 1st place finishes, then the most 2nd place finishes,
etc.
Special Note #1 - It
is requested that pre-season and post-season 'point' transfers are made with an
administrator directly and in person. In is undesirable on the part of the administrators to award
points made via the US Postal Service. All fees encountered in the process of
preparing point distribution will be deducted from total 'points' earned.
Special Note #2 - If
you are unable to make a driver selection prior to roster lock time for any
reason including power outages, server outages, problems with your
computer, sickness, flood, plague, etc..., then consequently, you will receive
zero points. This problem is yours alone. It is for this very reason that we
have recommended that you make provisional picks in advance. No excuses are
valid. A onetime exception of a pick emailed to an administrator will be
accepted, providing the email was verifiably sent prior to the roster lock
time. The date/time stamp a time received will determine validity. It is solely
your responsibility for getting your pick in on time through the website. No
exceptions. Are we clear?
